Candas has been working to enrich the lives of individuals since 2013. Through her comprehensive masters of social work program at Utah Valley University, Candas gained the knowledge and skills she has used to help 100’s of clients achieve their goals. Candas works with people through the lifespan. She loves to witness the positive progress of any client no matter their age: child, adolescent, or adult.
She specializes in working with people who have Autism and/or other special needs, trauma-including PTSD, behavioral concerns, anxiety, depression, spiritual healing-including those seeking to address their concerns within their LDS faith, faith transitioning, and LGBTQ+.
Candas uses a variety of evidence-based, effective modalities depending on the specific needs of her clients through telehealth. These modalities include: Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Mindfulness.
Candas is a Certified Disability Advocate with the Utah Developmental Disabilities Council in partnership with the USU Center for Persons with Disabilities and the Disability Law Center. She served for 2 years on the Utah Developmental Disabilities Council as a Governor appointed member.
Candas finds her connection and healing through family, creating, music, nature, and God.
